Does the app record or upload my audio?
No. Song recognition is powered by Apple's ShazamKit. The sound is turned into a short fingerprint on your iPhone, and only that fingerprint is sent to Apple to find a match. When you record a DJ set, the audio isn't saved; only the tracklist is.
How do I find the song in a video from another app?
Open the video, tap Share and choose Identify Song. Some apps share a link instead of the video. If that happens, save the video to Photos first and share it from there, or pick it inside Song ID Finder.
Can it make a tracklist of a whole DJ set?
Yes. Open Tracklists and record the set live, or pick a recording. You can lock your iPhone while it listens; keep it near the speakers. The first song shows up after about 30 seconds. A tracklist can cover a set of up to 3 hours.
Does it work without a connection?
If there's no signal, the app saves the sound's fingerprint and finds the song automatically when you're back online. It then shows up in your history.
Where is my history stored?
Only on your iPhone. You can delete any song with a swipe. Saving the place you heard a song is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again in Settings.
Purchases and your data
How do I cancel a subscription?
Apple manages subscriptions. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose the app and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
I paid, but the app doesn’t show my purchase.
Use Restore Purchases in the app, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy. If it still doesn’t appear, write to us with the date of the purchase (never send card details).
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves, but we’re happy to help if something isn’t working.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes what it stores on your iPhone. The privacy policy explains anything that leaves your phone; for a request about that, use our data request page.
