TV Remote turns your iPhone into a remote for Roku TVs, such as TCL and Hisense models with Roku built in. It finds your TV on your Wi-Fi, connects by itself and remembers it for next time. There are no ads and no account to create.

The remote has the buttons you reach for every day: power, volume, mute, the arrows and OK, back, home and playback. On Roku TVs you can also switch inputs and change channels. While the remote is open, your iPhone's side buttons change the TV's volume.

If your TV is set to block phone control, the app shows the three steps to change it on the TV and picks up again on its own. There’s also typing with your iPhone keyboard, a channel launcher, a touchpad, Control Center and Lock Screen buttons, Siri, and several TVs. TV Remote is an independent app, not affiliated with Roku, TCL or Hisense.

What it does

Features

  1. Finds your TV by itself

    Open the app and it looks for Roku TVs on your Wi-Fi. With one TV, it connects on its own and remembers it, so next time the remote is ready. You can also enter the TV's IP address.

  2. A full remote, no ads

    Power, volume, mute, arrows and OK, back, home, replay and playback. Inputs and channel buttons on Roku TVs. Hold a button to repeat it.

  3. Your iPhone's volume buttons

    While the remote is open, the side buttons turn the TV up and down. On TVs that support it, Find My Roku Remote makes a compatible remote play a sound.

  4. Help when phone control is blocked

    Some Roku TVs limit control by phone apps. The app notices, shows the three steps to change the setting on the TV, and reconnects once you're done.

  5. Type, launch and swipe (Pro)

    Type searches and passwords with your iPhone keyboard, dictation included. Open your streaming channels from a grid of icons, or switch to a touchpad: swipe to move, tap to select.

  6. Control Center, Siri and more TVs (Pro)

    Add power, volume and mute buttons to Control Center and the Lock Screen. Ask Siri to turn the TV off, mute it or open a channel. Name your TVs and switch between them in one tap.
